This weeks photo is of the statue of Imre Nagy.

Imre Nagy was the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the People’s Republic of Hungary at the time of the Hungarian Revolution in 1956.  He was executed in 1958. The statue is located in Vértanúk Tere (Martyrs’ Square).  It has Nagy looking towards the Parliament Building.

Until the next post stay safe, stay healthy and keep smiling.

  1. That’s a very charming statue. Wish the photo was bigger though.

It is a charming statue. Mind you I would not climb the bridge when it is cold and wet.

  2. Is that In Budapest? I’m trying to remember if that’s the same statue I saw when I was there… it looks familiar! I wish the photo was a bit bigger as well(:

Thanks for the comment Andrea. Yes, the statue is in Budapest. I thought it was a moving sight. I do take the hint and I will either stand closer or use my zoom more. 🙂
